Product FAQ

What is a gang sheet?

A gang sheet puts several designs or copies onto one sheet of transfer film. Use the builder to arrange them inside the sheet boundary, with space between the designs for cutting.

How do I choose a sheet size?

Use the available sheet sizes and prices shown in the builder. Check that every design fits at its intended print dimensions before adding the sheet to your cart.

How should I prepare my artwork?

Use a transparent PNG when you do not want a printed background. Aim for 300 effective DPI at the final print size. JPG images keep their background; enlarging a small image does not add detail.

Is shipping included?

DTF shipping is separate: Standard is $8 with 3–5 business days in transit, or Express is $15 with 1–2 business days in transit. Production after artwork approval is additional.

What if there is a printing problem?

All items are custom printed, so all sales are final. We will replace defective or incorrectly printed items. Contact info@theapparelplug.com about a defective or incorrectly printed item. This policy does not limit any rights required by applicable law.

Pressing Instructions

  1. Prepare the garment

Pre-press the garment for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture.

  2. Set and check the press

Cotton, blends and most materials: 290°F. Polyester and heat-sensitive materials: 275°F.

  3. Position and press

Position the transfer. Press for 10–12 seconds with medium to high pressure.

  4. Peel hot

Remove the carrier while hot, using a smooth, even motion.

  5. Finish and care

Cover and press again for 5 seconds. Wait 24 hours before washing or stretching.

Pressing FAQ & Troubleshooting

The transfer is not sticking. What should I check?

Verify actual platen temperature with a temperature strip or heat gun. Check pressing time and even pressure. Too little heat or pressure can prevent bonding.

The edges are lifting. What should I do?

Cover with parchment or kraft paper and press again for 5 seconds.

The film will not peel cleanly.

Check for firm, even pressure. If the design lifts, let it cool slightly and try peeling cold.

Can I use the same settings on every fabric?

Use 290°F for cotton, blends and most materials, or 275°F for polyester and sensitive fabrics. Both use 10–12 seconds at medium to high pressure. Test first.

When can I wash the garment?

Wait at least 24 hours before washing or stretching.
